Muscatine shooting sends 44-year-old man to the hospital Sunday afternoon

Police are searching for information after a shooting left a Muscatine man with life-threatening injuries Sunday afternoon.

CLINTON, Iowa — A 44-year-old man is in the hospital after a shooting Sunday afternoon, according to the Muscatine Police Department.

On Oct. 30 at about 4:04 p.m., Muscatine officers responded to an apartment in the 2400 block of Park Avenue after receiving a report that a man had been shot.

First responders found the man, who remains unidentified, with life-threatening injuries and transported him to a local hospital. He was then transferred to a larger facility.

The investigation is ongoing, and available information is limited. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Detective Jeff DeVrieze at 563-263-9922 ext. 611.
