HILLSBORO, Iowa — A Hillsboro, Iowa man was arrested on numerous charges related to the sexual abuse of a child and drug offenses Wednesday morning, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office in Iowa.
On Nov. 10 at about 10:15 a.m., Henry County authorities, with assistance from Des Moines County, executed a search warrant on a car during a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Maple Street in Salem, as well as a home in the 100 block of East Commercial St. in Hillsboro.
As a result of the search, 32-year-old Sean Vantiger of Hillsboro was taken into custody with numerous charges, including:
- Enticement of a minor
- Dissemination of obscene material to minor(s)
- Lascivious acts with a child
- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
- Conspiracy to distribute marijuana
- Gathering where controlled substances unlawfully used
- Child Endangerment
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
Lascivious acts are defined by the Iowa code to mean a sexual interaction between a child and a person's genitals or between a person and the child's genitals, as well as other sex acts.
Officials did not describe how the victim was connected to Vantiger.
