MOLINE, Ill. — Moline Police say around 4 a.m. on Nov. 4, Jerimie Treacy broke into the room of a 47-year-old woman at the Oyo Hotel in Moline armed with a knife. Treacy, a resident of Fort Lauderdale, was a guest at the hotel at the time, according to police.
Investigators say he sexually assaulted the woman then tried to take her to another room. That's when she managed to get away.
Before police arrived at the hotel, Treacy allegedly left the area. Police, however, were able to find him several blocks away.
Treacy is charged with six counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping, home invasion and armed robbery. He is also wanted by the United States Marshals Service for failure to register as a sex offender.
Treacy is being held the Rock Island County Jail on a $10 million bond.
Investigators say they are working with U.S. Marshals to determine why Treacy was in the Quad City area.
