REDMOND, Wash. — Nintendo on Tuesday hosted a 42-minute Nintendo Direct presentation announcing all of their upcoming releases to the Nintendo Switch, as well as whether or not they would be discussing the famous console's next steps.
The presentation featured a wide variety of games coming in 2024 and beyond. Some of the highlights included returns to various beloved game series such as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond or the newly revealed Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
Other notable updates include the announcement of upcoming games such as a brand new game taking place in J.R.R. Tolkien's wide world of The Lord of the Rings.
What new games were announced at Nintendo Direct?

Did Nintendo announce anything about the Switch 2?
While Nintendo had planned to announce the successor to the Switch at some point in this fiscal year, the description of the livestream stated that "There will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation."
