MidAmerican Energy has some tips for homeowners trying to save money on their heating bill this winter:
- Check the filter on your furnace. A backwards or dirty filter can cost you money, and you won't get as much heat in your home.
- Make sure your water pipes are covered in foam tubing. Foam tubing can be found at stores for under $10.
- Check windows and doors for any possible air leaks that can be fixed.
- Replace an old thermostat with a new programmable one.
