A nor’easter was expected to dump several inches of rain and snow in eastern states, and cause delays of several hours for many travels headed to that part of the U.S.
Travel delays in one part of the country can easily impact direct flights, connecting flights, trains and even roadways elsewhere.
AAA says that more than 46 million Americans are expected to travel Thanksgiving weekend. It’s the highest number since 2007 and a more than 4% increase over last year. According a Trip Advisor Survey, 25% of people will be traveling on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. 60% of those people will be driving. 35% of those people will be flying.
An estimated 90% of people who travel on Thanksgiving Day will be on the highways.
