A man suspected of trying to rob the Shell Express in Kewanee has turned himself in to police.

The suspect reportedly used a knife to try to rob the store, at 511 S. Main, early Friday morning, January 24, 2014.  Police later released a surveillance camera photo of the suspect.

At about 4 p.m. Friday, 36-year-old Steven Lambert, who had been named in an arrest warrant in connection with the robbery attempt, turned himself in at the Kewanee Police station.

Lambert was held in the Henry County Jail.
