SAL Community Services (SAL) has been selected as the April recipient of Eriksen Chevrolet’s Three Degree Guarantee.
For each day of the month, if the actual temperature is within three degrees of the forecasted high temperature, SAL will receive $20 from Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan, Illinois. Each night, the WQAD Storm Track 8 team will predict the next day’s high temperature. The forecasted temperatures are compared to the actual temperatures recorded by the National Weather Service.
SAL provides support, advocacy and learning resources for individuals in our community, from childhood through adulthood. With the right resources, they help empower children and families to create thriving communities and successful outcomes for the individuals they serve.
Since 1970, they’ve been on a mission to serve our community, with a history of providing quality childcare to low-income families and specializing in early care, education and stabilization services. Today, their offerings have grown as well as their service area, which now includes a bi-state 17-county footprint spanning from the Quad Cities area to Central Illinois.
Funds will be directed to their three areas of programming – high quality early care and education, childcare resources and referral and stabilization services. These crucial programs help empower individuals and families to weather life’s challenges and truly thrive in the community.
