Quad City Wind Ensemble has been selected as the November recipient of Eriksen Chevrolet’s Three Degree Guarantee.
For each day of the month that the actual temperature is within three degrees of the forecasted high temperature, Quad City Wind Ensemble will receive $20 from Eriksen Chevrolet in Milan, Illinois. Each night, the WQAD Storm Track 8 team will predict the next day’s high temperature. The forecasted temperatures are compared to the actual temperatures recorded by the National Weather Service.
The Quad City Wind Ensemble seeks to enhance the musical arts of the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. In addition to dedication to performing music in a variety of styles, the Quad City Wind Ensemble focuses on the promotion of music education in public and private schools. The Quad City Wind Ensemble is involved in many local and state-wide events, including performances in the Galvin Fine Arts Center on the campus of St. Ambrose University, Iowa Bandmasters Association and the Illinois Music Educators Association.
