Snow emergencies declared across Quad Cities area Tuesday | Here's everything you need to know

Snow emergencies have been declared in several Quad City area cities ahead of Tuesday's snow storm. Here's everything you need to know about your city.

Snow emergencies have been declared in several Quad City area cities ahead of Tuesday's snow storm.

The storm is expected to dump around 3 to 6 inches of snow in many of our hometowns by 10 p.m., Dec. 29, 2020. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Quad City Metro area until noon Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020.

Here's everything you need to know about the snow emergency in your city:

Village of Andalusia, Illinois: Snow emergency starts at noon Tuesday until noon Wednesday. All vehicles must be off streets for snow plows.

Blue Grass, Iowa: Winter Weather Emergency effective from noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday. The city asks that no vehicles are parked on city streets to allow full access for snow plows and emergency vehicles.

Carbon Cliff, Illinois: All vehicles must be removed from streets for the next 72 hours. Vehicles that are not moved may be fined or towed.

Coal Valley, Illinois: An ice and snow emergency is in effect from noon Tuesday to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Vehicles are prohibited from parking on village streets with a 2-inch snowfall. Property owners are also required to clear their sidewalks.

Davenport, Iowa: Snow emergency in effect noon Tuesday until 4 p.m. Wednesday. Vehicles parked on Posted Snow Routes may be ticketed and towed. Click here for more information.

Durant, Iowa: A snow emergency is in effect from 4 a.m. Wednesday until 3 p.m. Wednesday. All vehicles must be parked off streets to avoid ticketing and towing.

Moline, Illinois: A snow emergency was declared. Parking is not allowed on snow routes until snow has been cleared.

Morrison, Illinois: Snow emergency is in effect at 6 p.m. Tuesday. No parking is allowed on snow routes and calendar parking is in effect.

Rock Island, Illinois: A snow emergency is in effect starting 1 p.m. Tuesday. Once snow has reached 2-inches parking is not allowed on any marked snow routes. Vehicles that are parked on snow routes may face ticketing and towing. The city is also asking residents not to park on residential streets.

Rock Falls, Illinois: Snow emergency in effect from noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday. Snow route parking rules are in effect. Check them here.

Sterling, Illinois: Snow emergency in effect starting noon Tuesday. No parking on Snow Routes until all snow has been removed. "Please be a good neighbor and shovel your sidewalk after the plows have completed clearing the streets," officials said. "It helps your neighbors, your postal carrier, the children who walk to school and it shows that you care about your community."
