MOLINE, Ill. — Most homes are powered once again Thursday morning as power companies inch closer to fully-restored service.
As of 6 p.m. Thursday, the Illinois side of the Mississippi River is almost back to full power with only just 98 homes without power. All of those homes are MidAmerican customers.
According to the company, these power outages are the most challenging and time-consuming ones to resolve, due to some difficult areas needing replacement power poles.
