These are the victims of the deadly tornado that swept across Iowa on May 21

Monica Zammaron, Dean and Pam Wiggins, Michael Jensen and Lee Williamson were all killed in a tornado that spanned from Greenfield in Adair County to Adams County.

The victims killed in the deadly tornado that all but flattened Greenfield have now been identified.

The EF-4 tornado killed five on Tuesday, May 21 and was 1,000 yards wide at max width and estimated peak winds between 175 and 185 mph. Traveling around 44 miles, the tornado impacted parts of Adair and Adams counties.  

Four people were killed in Greenfield and one outside of Corning.

The Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Agency posted the names to Facebook over the weekend.

Monica Irma Zamarron

46-year-old Monica Zamarron was killed when her car was "blown off the roadway" near Highway 148 and Joshua Tree Avenue as a tornado ripped through Adams County, according to the sheriff's office. This was part of the same tornado track that started near Greenfield.

A GoFundMe page set up to benefit Zamarron and her family has raised over $11,000.

Dean and Pamela Wiggins

Dean Wiggins was 78 years old

Pam Wiggins, Dean's wife, was 77 years old.

  • Family Visitation: Thursday, May 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church
  • Celebration of Life: Friday, May 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church will burial to follow at the Greenfield Cemetery

Michael Jensen

Jensen was 73 years old. His service details are listed below:

  • Open Visitation: Friday, May 31 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Lamb Funeral Home (510 1st St, Fontanelle)
  • Family Visitation: Friday, May 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lamb Funeral Home (510 1st St, Fontanelle)
  • Celebration of Life: Saturday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. (Lamb Funeral Home in Fontanelle) with burial to follow at the Greenfield Cemetery

Lee Williamson

Williamson was 70 years old. Service details are pending, according to his online obituary.
