The News 8 viewing area was under a significant risk for thunderstorms with damaging winds for Tuesday evening, between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch had been issued for parts of the area until 8 p.m. The following counties are included in the list: Clinton, Des Moines, Dubuque, Henderson, Henry (IA), Jefferson, Johnson, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Mercer, Muscatine, Rock Island, Scott, and Warren.
