Traffic changes to John Deere Road begin May 1

Work on John Deere Road between 16th Street and 35th Street in Moline includes reducing some eastbound traffic to one lane.

MOLINE, Ill. — Traffic patterns on John Deere Road between 16th Street and 35th Street in Moline are set to change Monday, May 1.

The east-bound exit ramp from John Deere Road heading toward the Quad Cities International Airport will close for three weeks. Traffic in that area will be down to one lane. A detour will be posted for drivers who want to 

Work includes expansion joint replacement, deck patching, and hot-mix asphalt resurfacing of the bridges carrying John Deere Road over 27th Street and I-74. The $7 million project is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for travel on John Deere Road. Officials recommended using different routes if possible, paying attention to changed road conditions and signs, obeying speed limits and refraining from using mobile devices while driving.
