Track Iowa road conditions: Where are snow plows clearing interstates?

To find out where snow plows are headed, the Iowa Department of Transportation has an interactive map showing where roads might be a little more clear.

IOWA, USA — The Iowa Department of Transportation is advising travelers to stay home Feb. 4 as a snow storm sweeps the Midwest.

A multi-vehicle crash created a mess on eastbound Interstate 80 near Newton, Iowa Thursday afternoon due to weather conditions.

IDOT has an interactive map showing travel conditions including where snow plows are headed and which roads might be a little more clear.

The map shows road conditions and where IDOT snow plows are on interstates. The website even includes which plows are laying salt.
