MOLINE, Ill. — Moline drivers may need to plan a new route to work.
Beginning Monday, Feb. 26, 16th Street will be closed from 19th Avenue to 23rd Avenue. A press release from the City of Moline said workers will be handling water service replacements throughout the closure. The work should take approximately two weeks to complete, according to that release.
City officials said that a detour route will be in place for drivers while the street is closed, and all businesses along the blocked-off stretch of road are expected to remain open.
