STERLING, Ill. — A man is in the hospital being treated for severe injuries following a crash in Whiteside County after he was ejected from his vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched at 12:03 am on Friday, March 24, according to the Whiteside County Sheriff's Department. It happened near Galt Road and W. Lincolnway in rural Sterling, Illinois.

Deputies say it was a single vehicle roll-over crash.

According to a press release, in the initial investigation, the Whiteside County Sheriff's Department determined the vehicle was traveling northbound on Galt Road. They determined the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and drove onto the west shoulder near the intersection of Galt Road and W. Lincolnway.
