MOLINE, Ill. — Construction work to make 19th Street in Moline a three-lane roadway will begin in April and continue through November.
The project will make 19th Street a three-lane road with a 12-foot-wide bike path installed on the road's east side. The $3.1 million project will also include ADA-compliant sidewalks and pedestrian crossings.
The project is the first phase of a multi-year project aiming to connect the Mississippi River bike path to the Rock River bike path through the center of Moline.
Work starts on Apr. 1 and is anticipated to be completed by November. All businesses will remain open during construction.
