Road crews temporarily shutting down Government Bridge for repairs

Commuters who utilize this bridge to access Davenport or Rock Island will need to find alternate routes while repairs are made.

ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. — Drivers who use the Government Bridge will need to find alternate routes on Tuesday, Jan. 9.

The bridge will be temporarily shut down between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for necessary repairs.

Commuters should look out for detour signs to redirect them during the construction.
