UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Caitlin Clark's historic rookie season has officially come to a close, but the records keep on coming for her and the Indiana Fever.
The Fever's second game against the Connecticut Sun in round one of the WNBA Playoffs was the most-viewed WNBA game ever on cable, ESPN announced Thursday.
Viewership was up 507% when compared to average views during last year's first round on ESPN.
Other teams also boasted some impressive numbers. The Phoenix Mercury vs. Minnesota Lynx game saw an almost 200% increase in viewership compared to last year's first round, according to ESPN.
Overall, the first round of the WNBA playoffs averaged 1.1 million viewers, making it the most-viewed opening round ever across all networks, ESPN reported.
While the Fever fell to the Sun 87-81, ending the team's playoffs berth, four teams continue to round two: The New York Liberty, the Minnesota Lynx, the Las Vegas Aces and the Connecticut Sun.

As for Clark, the star point guard joked she plans to play a lot of golf during the offseason. The Athletic reports Clark is not attached to any non-WNBA leagues, and isn't currently planning to play overseas.
