On Sunday, July 21, 2013, a group of bicyclists began a week-long journey through Iowa. They began in Council Bluffs and by Saturday they will be in Fort Madison.
Thank-you to Trooper Dan Loussaert, from the Iowa State Police, for submitting photos of the riders traveling on Tuesday, from Perry to Des Moines and on Wednesday from Des Moines to Knoxville.
On Thursday the group traveled from Knoxville to Oskaloosa and Friday from Oskaloosa to Fairfield. Trooper Dan said rain on Thursday night continued into the early part of the day in the form of a “few sprinkles.” On Saturday the bikers finish up the ride with a 63-mile journey to Fort Madison.
“I’ve had many bikers from the QC area say ‘Hi Trooper Dan’ as they rode by today,” he said after working RAGBRAI on Wednesday.
