NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans are set to host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6 in a big divisional matchup for both teams.
The Colts confirmed Sunday morning that Richardson will not start on Sunday's game. Joe Flacco will be back as the starting quarterback. Richardson practiced all week, despite his hip injury, and will serve as the emergency No. 3 quarterback.
Richardson was sidelined last week in the loss to Jacksonville. He was listed as questionable after practicing all week, though he was limited on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Other platers listed as inactive for the game include defensive end Genard Avery, wide receiver Anthony Gould, center Danny Pinter and running back Jonathan Taylor. Taylor exited late in the game during the win over the Pittsburgh Steelers with an ankle injury.
Indianapolis will have Pro Bowl center Ryan Kelly back from the neck injury that kept him out against the Jaguars. The Colts also will have starting defensive end Kwity Paye (quadricep) and Pro Bowl cornerback Kenny Moore II (hip) back as well after they missed last week.
This will be Tennessee's AFC South opener as the Titans look for their first win at home after starting 0-2.
The Colts are 0-2 in division play this season and have lost three straight AFC South games.
However, Indy swept the Titans last season after losing the previous five in the series. Indy is 15-7 on the road against the Titans since they relocated to Nashville.
This game will match one of the NFL's best offenses in the Colts no matter who starts at quarterback against one of the league's stingiest defenses in Tennessee.
