IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa football player Kaleb Brown has been arrested for operating while under the influence in Iowa City over the weekend.
The 20-year-old wide receiver was arrested on Sunday, June 23 just before 2:30 a.m. According to a criminal complaint, Brown was seen driving a vehicle with severe front-end damage, including a front wheel that was turned sideways. The complaint says Brown reversed his vehicle onto a lawn and began spinning the tires.
Police say Brown was observed with bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, poor balance, and an odor of alcohol coming from his breath. He refused to take a field sobriety test or give a breath sample.
Brown is entering his second season as a Hawkeye after transferring from Ohio State. He logged 22 receptions for 215 receiving yards and a touchdown in 11 games played in 2023.
