Quad City Steamwheelers extend contract with Head Coach Cory Ross

Under Ross, the Steam Team has a 22-8 home record and has made three playoff appearances.

MOLINE, Ill. — The Quad City Steamwheelers will be keeping their head coach around for a few more years.

On Monday, Oct. 21, team officials announced that Head Coach Cory Ross's contract has been extended through the 2025 season.

Ross first came to the Quad Cities in 2018. Under his leadership, the Steam Team has a 22-8 home record and has made three playoff appearances, including a 2022 trip to the IFL National Championships.

"Vince Lombardi once said, 'Winning means you're willing to go longer, work harder, and give more than anyone else.' This has been my mindset since 2018. Excited to be back, get to work in 2025, and make it the best one yet," Ross said in a press release.

In 2022, The Steamwheelers were named the IFL Franchise of the Year.
