Hayden Springer ties John Deere Classic Tournament record, shoots 59 in Round One

The last time a 59 was shot at TPC Deere Run was during the 2010 John Deere Classic, when the record was set by Paul Goydos.

SILVIS, Ill. — 27-year-old American golfer Hayden Springer has just tied with the course record at TPC Deere Run. 

During Round One of the John Deere Classic, Springer shot a 12-under 59. It's the fourteenth sub-60 round in PGA Tour history. The last time a 59 was shot at TPC Deere Run was back in 2010 when the record was set by Paul Goydos.

It's the 23rd time TPC Deere Run has hosted the John Deere Classic Tournament. The course is a par 71 with a length of 7,289 yards. 

Springer turned pro in 2019 and ranks No. 127 in the FedEx Cup point standings. He has yet to secure a win on the PGA Tour, but has finished third once and in the top five once. He has two top-10 finishes.
