BELLEVILLE, Ill. — A Metro East house with St. Louis Arch views and connections to Frank Lloyd Wright is on the market for $2.5 million.

The midcentury modern-style house, at 904 Briar Hill Road in Belleville, has been owned by the same family since 1968. Located on a bluff a 15-minute drive from Busch Stadium, the roughly 5,000-square-foot house has views of the St. Louis Arch and downtown skyline from its backyard, which has a pool and a floating gazebo.

The 55-acre property that comes with the house is mostly level and could possibly be used for a new residential subdivision if a new owner desired, said the listing agent for the property, Jon Shirrell of Dielmann Sotheby’s Missouri office in Clayton. It’s not developed other than a large pole barn and shed for landscaping equipment, he said. The property has a mix of fields and woods, located off Highway 157. It borders another 300 acres that’s for sale by a separate owner, Shirrell said.
