2 dead, 2 injured in Decatur County crash, Iowa State Patrol says

An SUV was driving north on Lineville Road when it failed to yield to a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 2, striking the side of a pickup truck.

DECATUR COUNTY, Iowa — Two people are dead and two others are injured after a crash in southern Iowa Friday night, according to an Iowa State Patrol crash report.

An SUV was driving north on Lineville Road when it failed to yield to a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 2, striking the side of a pickup truck at 7:40 p.m. Friday. 

The driver and front-seat passenger in the SUV were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The two have been identified as 55-year-old Robin Ann Reaves of Urbandale and 46-year-old Lance Eugene Reaves of Lineville. 

Two people in the pickup truck, the driver and a 10-year-old passenger, were both injured in the crash. The passenger has since been treated and released, while the driver remains hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries.

No one in either vehicle was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
