Before the race to represent Illinois' 17th District was called, Bobby Schilling said the numbers weren't adding up in his favor, but other election results proved citizens wanted a change in Rock Island County.
Citing an increase in numbers at GOP meetings and a shift in party leadership in the county, Schilling said there were "a lot of good changes."
"Rock Island County has really turned it on," Schilling said. I came into Rock Island County in 2010, and ran for it my first go around. Came to the first meeting there was about 15 people in the meeting. Now you go to Rock Island County GOP meeting they'll have anywhere from 50-75 people there that's a big deal... a lot of good changes are happening for this county."
