CHICAGO — Voters in Illinois can now get their election questions answered with a simple phone call.
On Wednesday, March 6, the Democratic Party of Illinois announced the launch of its Voter Protection Hotline. Volunteers and DPI staff members staffing the hotline can answer questions about how to find their polling place, what they need to cast their ballot, or how to report concerns about illegal activity at the polls. Services will be available in English and Spanish.
"Our hope is to be able to provide the most accurate information we can to folks to allow them to cast their ballot," Ben Hardin with the DPI said.
You can contact the Voter Protection Hotline at 855-458-6837. The hotline will be open from March 4-8 and March 11-18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the Illinois primary, which takes place on Tuesday, March 19, those hours will be extended to 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
