Davenport woman in critical condition after hit and run crash off North Brady Street, police say

The accident happened sometime before 4 a.m. near the intersection of 59th and Brady Streets.

UPDATE: Police identified the woman as 41-year-old Abigail Lee-Price, from Davenport, Friday, Jan. 31. She is in critical condition at a hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Davenport police also identified the driver who left the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.

DAVENPORT, Iowa -- A Davenport woman was found lying in the street with life-threatening injuries after a hit and run crash in Davenport early Thursday.

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of North Brady Street. A Davenport police officer on patrol found the woman lying in the street after she was hit by a vehicle, according to a statement from the Davenport Police Department.

An ambulance took her to a nearby hospital.

The vehicle left the scene after hitting the woman and did not report the crash to police or give medical help, the statement said.

Police blocked off a portion of the road near the intersection of 59th and Brady Streets early Thursday morning.

Davenport police ask those with information about this crash to call the department at 563 326-6125, submit an anonymous tip on the “P3 Tips” app or submit a tip on the Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities website here.
