INDIANAPOLIS — There's a new Miss Indiana, and she's breaking barriers in the pageant world.
On Saturday, June 8, Stephanie Sullivan was named Miss Indiana USA to become the first married mother to take the title. The pageant took place at the Sheraton Hotel near the Fashion Mall on the north side of Indianapolis.
Her accomplishment comes after recent rule changes in the program to allow more women to compete. Sullivan is a mom of three boys and was representing Elkhart County in the pageant Saturday evening.
Sullivan now will go on to compete for the title of Miss USA, which takes place Aug. 4.
