UNICOI COUNTY, Tenn. — The Erwin Police Department in Unicoi County said one of its K-9s was found and "no longer with us" after being lost during historic flooding in East Tennessee from Hurricane Helene.
The department initially posted to social media asking for help in finding Scotty, saying he would "definitely" come to those who had a Kong ball. The department is now asking for prayers for his handler.
"Please pray for his handler and all who loved him," EPD said.
