MOLINE, Ill. — Some of your favorite frozen treats might be a bit harder to come by around the Quad Cities.
Officials with Whitey's Ice Cream announced in a Facebook post that an equipment malfunction at their manufacturing plant caused "a significant loss of product." As a result of this, some flavors may run out as the company works to rebuild its inventory. However, company officials told News 8 that as of Tuesday, Aug. 27, stores are currently still stocked with product.
The plant's factory line is expected to be down through the end of the week before being able to return to service.
