What Carrie Olson’s mother said at Tim McVay’s sentencing

During her statement, Mrs. Olson called McVay a ‘Monster,” who “slithered through his life preying on women.”

During the sentencing hearing for the man convicted of killing her daughter, Karen Olson gave a victim impact statement on behalf of her family.

During her emotional statement, Mrs. Olson called McVay a 'Monster," who "slithered through his life preying on women," as she asked Judge Michael Meersman for the maximum sentence for McVay.

"There will be no more calls from a comforting voice on the other end of the line… just echoes of what her voice sounded like in the last struggling minutes of her life," she said. "No more glimpses of her big beautiful smile… just haunting images of her lifeless face abandoned in a field. No more bear hugs filled with warmth... just a cold hard gravestone to cling to. No more opportunities to tell her that we love her… just endless tears of heartache for the loss of a life that had so much to live for."

"We are left completely and utterly empty and we ask you, your honor, to empty this world of Tim McVay."
