WEST LIBERTY, Iowa — One person is dead and two are injured following a single-vehicle crash in West Liberty early Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. An Iowa State Patrol crash report says that the vehicle was traveling north in the 1200 block of Elder Ave. in rural West Liberty when it failed to maneuver a curve and left the roadway. Officials say the vehicle struck an object, vaulted and came to a rest in a bean field.
One person, identified as 24-years-old, died from their injuries. Their name is being withheld pending notification of family.
Two others were injured in the crash and transported to local hospitals for treatment.
