GALESBURG, Ill. — An arrest warrant has been issued for a Galesburg man in connection to a fatal shooting that took place on Friday, June 7.
According to a Galesburg Police Department news release, an arrest warrant for murder has been issued for 19-year-old Chase Houlden Jr., who was injured during the shooting, is currently in a hospital in stable condition.
The shooting took place just after 11 a.m. in the 900 block of E. South Street. First responders found a victim, 18-year-old Cam'ron Glass, at the scene with a gunshot wound. Glass, of Galesburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Deputy Chief Kevin Legate, the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
