ATKINSON, Ill — Some Atkinson residents will lose access to their water this week while the village is working on its watermains and fire hydrants.
According to village officials, shutoffs will be in effect from Tuesday, July 9 to Thursday, July 11. The shutoffs will change location each day, but they'll be active from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. You can review the schedule and maps below to find out if you'll be effected.
- Tuesday, July 9: Lincoln Street, East Williams Street, North school Street and Pearl Street
- Wednesday, July 10: East 2nd Street, Spring Street and Exchange Street
- Thursday, July 11: Margaret Street, Washington Street, Center Street, Anna Street and Rock Island Avenue
Once the water is back on, boil orders will be in effect. Village officials said they'll send out additional information when the orders are allowed to expire.
