Vehicle, apartment building hit by gunfire in Muscatine overnight Wednesday

No arrests have been made, but police say the incident remains under investigation.

MUSCATINE, Iowa — Muscatine Police are investigating a shots fired call that left damage to an apartment building and a vehicle. 

Police say they received the shots fired call at 9:41 pm Wednesday at 1816 Logan Street, Muscatine. That address is the Cedar Park Apartments. Police found evidence of multiple rounds being fired but no one was hurt. Multiple rounds hit the apartment building and at least one vehicle.

Police say while investigating the scene they found two handguns, they believe were used in the incident.

"The shooting was believed to be a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public," Muscatine Police said in a press release.

Police say they were on the scene for several hours.
