UnityPoint Health nurse named 2024 'Great Iowa Nurse'

Stephanie Moore was honored as a 2024 Great Iowa Nurse, an award given to nurses who display outstanding service.

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — A UnityPoint Health - Trinity nurse has been recognized as a 2024 Great Iowa Nurse. 

Quad Cities nurse Stephanie Moore was honored with the esteemed award that goes out to nurses who display outstanding service to patients, coworkers and the nursing profession.

“I’m incredibly proud of our nurse honorees and I’m truly grateful for the positive impact they’ve made on the lives of others,” UnityPoint Health Chief Nursing Officer Sarah Brown said in a press release. “They go above and beyond every day, providing the care experience we want our own loved ones to receive.” 

Moore has worked at UnityPoint Health for 33 years and currently works in the emergency department.

“We’re pleased to honor the work of an amazing team member,” Jane Denten, chief nursing officer at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, said in the release. “Stephanie is seen as a strong team leader, showing confidence under pressure and able to keep her coworkers motivated and positive.” 

Moore’s nominator and 2014 Great Iowa Nurse Tosha Allen said “Steph is exceptional with patient care, working hard to make them comfortable in often uncomfortable situations.”
