STEPHENSON COUNTY, Ill. — An Illinois man is dead after the tractor he was driving rolled over and pinned him underneath on Sunday, Aug. 18.

According to the Stephenson County Sheriff's Office, authorities responded to the area of S. Kent Road and W. Kempel Road around 8:50 a.m. to a report of a tractor rolled over and a person trapped beneath.

First responders found the victim already deceased. He has been identified as 22-year-old Jacob Green of Kent, which is an unincorporated community located just west of the News 8 viewing region. Green was the only person involved in the crash.

Authorities believe that Green's tractor entered the west ditch of S. Kent Road, just north of Kempel Road. The tractor then traveled down the steep embankment and rolled over, pinning Green. Authorities believe the incident occurred in the early morning hours on Sunday.
