The tornado warning issued from the National Weather Service for Muscatine and Scott counties in Iowa has expired, but those counties are still under a severe thunderstorm warning until 11 p.m., and including Rock Island and Mercer counties in Illinois.
Winds gusts up to 60 miles per hour are expected.
Although there is no tornado warning, the NWS still advises residents in those counties to seek shelter immediately.
The National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning for northeastern Muscatine County and West Central Scott County until 10:30 p.m. At 10:15 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Durant and moving northeast at 55 miles per hour.
