ROCK FALLS, Ill. — Enjoy a day full of beautiful art, live music and good food at an upcoming event in Rock Falls.
The seventh annual Art in the Park Outdoor Art Gallery and Sculpture Walk will take place on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the RB&W District Park, located at 201 E. 2nd St. in Rock Falls.
Attendees will get a first look at nine new sculpture installations that will remain in the park for one year. Those are in addition to four permanent sculptures already there. The sculptures' artists come from all over, including Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, New York, Wisconsin and Indiana.
In addition, an outdoor art gallery featuring work from 19 artists across Iowa and Illinois will be available to explore. Artists will be selling original, handcrafted pieces like gourd art, paintings, sculptures, stain glass, yard art and more.
The festivities don't stop there. Four musicians will play throughout the day at the park's amphitheater. They are Pat Jones, Shaylyn O'Laughlin, Todd Lorenc and Chris Blum. Toni's Smokin' Grill, Ka-Bao!, Brito's and Main Squeeze will also be serving up food for attendees.
