MOLINE, Ill. — The Quad Cities Holiday Blood Drive is set to take place on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 1100 River Dr. in Moline.
Hosted by WQAD and the American Red Cross, the event provides a critical opportunity to give blood and help those in need.
Donating blood can be a lifesaving act, ensuring that patients facing medical emergencies have access to safe and necessary blood supplies. The Red Cross emphasizes that donations are especially vital during the holiday season when blood donations typically decrease but patient needs remain steady or increase.
In appreciation for each blood donation, all presenting donors will receive exclusive Red Cross swag, available while supplies last. Additionally, donors who give blood from Dec. 9 to 15 will be eligible to receive a $15 e-gift card as a special thank you.
To make the process even more convenient, appointments can be made ahead of time here or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. When booking, be sure to use sponsor code QuadCities to ensure your donation is counted for this specific event.
This drive offers a great way for community members to come together and make a meaningful difference, especially as winter months approach and blood supply shortages often become more pronounced.
Every donation counts — please consider joining us in making this a season of giving.
