NICE, France — What does it take to be forged in iron? It turns out, Morgan Meseke has the answer.
The Quad City woman just returned from Nice, France, where she was competing in the 2024 Ironman World Championship.
Meseke was one of just 1,400 women to qualify for the race. She finished in 421st place overall and inside the top 100 in the 30-34 age group.
Meseke, who is the director of group fitness at the YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley, also qualified for the championship last year, which was held in Kona, Hawaii.
"I got to experience both locations as an all-women's race, and it was such an empowering experience," Meseke said.
