MOLINE, Ill. — Progressive Action for the Common Good out of Davenport is hosting a renewable energy forum for local homeowners on Saturday, March 9.
The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Western Illinois University's Quad Cities Campus, Riverfront Hall, room 111. You can find parking and campus directions here.

Speakers will discuss the pros and cons of different renewable energy sources such as solar, air-source heat pumps and geothermal options. Attendees will also hear about different federal and state incentives available to help homeowners pay for these projects, as well as programs available right now to help bridge the financial gaps before incentives kick in. There will also be information on how to choose a reliable contractor for your renewable energy project, including what questions to ask.
Presenters will include Joey Li and Scott Allen from Citizens Utility Board Illinois, John Freitag from Geothermal Alliance of Illinois and local vendors providing renewable energy services in the QCA.
