The wild west brought to life: Buffalo Bill show comes to LeClaire

It'll be a weekend of history, cowboys, live music and family-friendly fun June 29-30 at the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show.

LE CLAIRE, Iowa — History is coming to life in LeClaire!

The Buffalo Bill Wild West Show will be in town Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30.

Attendees will get to meet cowboy reenactors of historical legends, including Annie Oakley, Buck Taylor and Buffalo Bill. The performers will put on a show each day, filled with behind-the-back trick shots, side-saddle horseback riding and an arena show.

Period-accurate vendors will be on site selling old-world goods, while prospectors need your help panning for gold, and Cale Bowe and Jordan Mohr will sing at pop-up concerts both mornings.

The event is raising money for LeClaire's Buffalo Bill Museum. It's all taking place at Cody Elementary School.

Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 65+ and $8 for children under 12. You can find tickets online by clicking here

Reenactors for this event will be living at a 'Boomtown' encampment at the elementary school. Cowboys, their families and their horses will live there for three days. There will also be ongoing demonstrations of pioneer activities, including a rubber band shooting gallery and kids games.

There will not be any alcohol allowed on Cody School grounds. And for the safety of all animals involved, dogs will also not be allowed, as there will be 30 horses on site.

Tune into The Current from 4 to 5 p.m. on weekdays to catch live interviews impacting you, your family and your hometown as well as all of the biggest headlines of the day.
