MOLINE, Ill. — The Moline Community Development Corporation (Moline CDC) is holding a series of home improvement workshops to teach first-time homeowners how to care for their property starting in January.
The workshops will be held at the Butterworth Center and Deere-Wiman House and will be hosted by Dave Savatski, owner of local woodworking business Blue Bench Workshop. He has more than 20 years of woodworking experience, according to his website.
Registration is required for each workshop and is open now at Moline CDC's website. Donations are appreciated but not required for entry.
Here's a list of upcoming workshops:
- Fix That Wall: Jan. 22 at the Butterworth Center
- Stop Plumbing Leaks: Feb. 26 at the Butterworth Center
- Fix That Wobbly Railing: March 25 at the Butterworth Center
- No More Flooding: April 22 at the Butterworth Center
- Tame Your Energy Bill: May 20 at the Deere-Wiman House
- Connect That Wire: June 24 at the Butterworth Center
Each class is on a Monday and lasts from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
