29th annual 'A Taste on the River' returns to the Quad Cities

Proceeds from the annual fundraiser go to the American Red Cross chapter helping families in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities.

EAST MOLINE, Ill. — The 29th annual "A Taste on the River" event returns to the Quad Cities this Thursday, June 20. It lasts from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Bend XPO in East Moline. 

Proceeds from the event benefit the American Red Cross and will go directly towards helping families in the Quad Cities and surrounding communities. Festivities include live music by The Yoyos, a silent auction and tastings from numerous local chefs and restaurants, including: 

  • A Guy and a Grill 
  • Bally's Quad Cities 
  • DeBord Catering 
  • G's Gourmet Popcorn 
  • Isle Casino Hotel  
  • Nothing Bundt Cakes 
  • Ohhh Wee Taste and See Catering 
  • Quartet Senior Living 
  • Senior Star at Elmore Place 

General admission tickets are $50 and are available to purchase here. People can already start placing bids for the silent auction online as well. That can be found here. Some items include a weekend at Arrowhead Treehouse at Dittmar Farms and Orchard; a handmade, patriotic picnic quilt; and a year of sweet treats from Whitey's and Waterfront Deli. 

“A Taste on the River is a wonderful night of people coming together to support the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross,” said Trish Burnett, executive director of the Red Cross Quad Cities and West Central Illinois chapter. “We are honored to welcome everyone and can’t wait to enjoy delicious food and music together.”
