DAVENPORT, Iowa — A new ice rink has been set up in the Village of East Davenport.
This is the first year the temporary ring has been constructed. It's located on the basketball court at Lindsay Park. The ring is free for members of the public to use, but visitors will have to bring their own ice skates due to a lack of rental equipment.
"I just want things for the kids to do that are healthy and fun and they can do with their parents. So that's my ultimate goal is just to get our families down here and enjoy some free fun family activities," Grumpy's Saloon Owner Carrie Peterman said.
Peterman told News 9 she'll be tracking the rink's use. If it's popular, she hopes to expand it in future years.
