DES MOINES, Iowa — VIDEO ABOVE: Iowa man hasn't missed the fair in 77 years
More than one million people attended the 2021 Iowa state Fair, though this year's fair fell well short of the record 2019 mark.
2021's total of 1,094,480 people was more than 75,000 short of 2019's total of 1,170,375.
The 2020 Iowa State Fair was canceled due to the pandemic, but the 2021 fair is being held despite COVID-19 concerns surrounding the Delta variant.
